Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) is said to be removing the Apple iPad Pro home button in the next-generation product.
Apple iPad Pro Without Home Button
Accordingly, the upcoming 10.9” Apple iPad Pro will feature an almost bezel-free exterior. While the top bezel will remain for the front-facing camera, the bottom bezel will be minimized with the absence of the home button.
The home-button-free Apple iPad Pro is believed to be thicker as well at 7.50 mm. Meanwhile, the upcoming 12.9” version will be thicker at 7.22 mm.
Updates on the New Apple iPad Pro
The new Apple iPad Pro will be powered by an A10X chip and a 4GB RAM. Like the previously launched Apple devices, it will be integrated with an ID fingerprint sensor and the 3D Touch. Moreover, it will come with a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing one. Consequently, the new Apple iPad Pro will be capable of 4K video recording.
The base model of the upcoming Apple iPad Pro generation is said to come with a quad microphone technology and to retain the headphone jack, a feature that has already been eliminated in the new Apple iPhone lineup.
Analysts believe that the technology giant will launch a new set of Apple iPad Pro in March, including a 7.9” version, which will feature the same dimensions as the Apple iPad Mini 4.

“Revolutionary iPad model likely to be introduced in 2018F at the earliest, with radical changes in form factor design & user behavior on adoption of flexible AMOLED panel,” explained Kuo.
Initially, Apple is expected to ship about two million units of the next-generation Apple iPad Pro in the first quarter of 2017. Sales are expected to rise as much as three million to four million units for the full-year.
Should the speculations be true, the Apple iPad Pro will be the introductory home-button-free devices from Apple. The company is also believed to be working on the elimination of the home button in the next iPhone.
On Friday, Apple has surged 0.37%, closing at $109.30.
