More than 11,000 bots have been created since Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) launched their introduction into its Messenger chat app. Three months into their building, they have gained significance embrace with over 23,000 developers having signed up to Facebook’s Wit.ai to build them. The bots are meant to bring closer connectivity to business as well as enhance automation of information a goal that is being achieved effectively.
Speaking about the positive response, Messaging products vice president, David Marcus, concedes to the need for interaction in business. Notably, there is a lot of enthusiasm among developers for the use of messenger bots that there is among Messenger users. Nonetheless, it is expected that more developers will come on board to help in improving the messenger user experience.
But even as Marcus announced that people should expect more feature on the bots, various criticisms have been pointed out. The initial users of this feature stated that the bots were causing a slow way of accessing the internet. Others said that typing out responses to bots was frustrating compared to the use traditional graphical user interfaces.
